Education grants provide assistance with educational items and services that benefit individuals with Down syndrome, including educational materials, therapies, tutoring, educational software, and one-time educational equipment grants including tablets.  Technology hardware grants are limited to one per individual with Down syndrome, i.e. no additional technology hardware grants will be made.

Medical grants are available for assistance with medical services and equipment for individuals with Down syndrome, such as medical/dental treatment, therapy, private/home care (not respite), specialty foods, and medical equipment.  Funding is not available for the payment of insurance premiums. Applicants may be requested to provide information to ascertain the type of insurance carried, type of payment required by the applicant, and whether the applicant is receiving funding from other sources.

Recreation grants are available for assistance with recreational services and equipment for individuals with Down syndrome, such as camps, athletic activities, bikes, Y memberships, swim lessons, and personal trainers.

Conference/seminar grants provide assistance with the cost of attending events that provide information, education, etc. regarding issues related to Down syndrome.  Family members can qualify for these grants.  Applications for conference/seminar attendance must include detailed information on the event to be attended.  Pre-payment for a conference or seminar will be made out to the relevant organizer/sponsor and forwarded to the applicant, at which point the applicant will be responsible for sending in the money and registration.
