Halloween Event at TCMU
This Halloween the DSAU will be handing out treat bags at the Sensory-Friendly Trick or Treat Event at TCMU-Greenville from 10AM-12PM or 1PM-3PM. Get your FREE tickets by clicking on the link below and then find the DSAU table the day of the event. Also, email info@dsaupstate.org to reserve treat bags for each child that will be attending the event with you.
Step Up 4 Ds Festival
This event is open to the public and hosted by the Down Syndrome Association of the Upstate. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and funds to support our local Down Syndrome community.
Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser
Team Captains: You can pick up your t-shirts at this event!
Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of your total food purchases to Step Up For Down Syndrome.
Also, there will be a bake sale.

Christmas Party
You are invited to the DSAU Annual Christmas Party! It will be from 9:30am-11:30am and Brunch will be served! We have a limit of 150 people that can attend so make sure to register through your membership login asap.
There will be arts and crafts and games for the kids to play while there waiting for that special someone to arrive from the North Pole! Each child will receive a gift from the Red Suited Santa and his Elves.

Movie Night
The DSAU will provide pizza and snacks but you must register to attend.

IEP Workshop with Susan Bruce
Come join Susan Bruce the DSAU Special Education Advocate and owner of Special Education Advocacy and Consulting of the Carolinas as she goes over IDEA Law, IEP Breakdown, SC State Regulations, and Record Keeping.
Date: November 12, 2022
Time: 9AM - 2PM
Cost: $12 per person (Includes Catered Lunch)

Parents: Bring your child's IEPs with post it notes and something to write with so that during the presentation you will be able to flag and label what is being discussed.

ICAN Bike Camp
The DSAU will pay a portion of the camp for any child diagnosed with Down syndrome to attend the ICAN Bike camp hosted by the Eastside Taylors YMCA.
When: July 25th to 29th, 2022

Registration fee is $100. (The DSAU will cover $50 cost for your child)

Cooking Class- Age 12-17
This class will be taught at Plate 108, Greer, SC. This class is limited to 15 children.
The chef at Plate 108 will teach the kids how to prepare a full meal and then they get to sit down and eat it afterwards. This will help teach life skills that will prepare them to live on their own in the future.
Cost is $20 per child.
We hope to have more classes to teach other meals as well throughout the year.
