🏥 TEFRA — “Katie Beckett”
Healthy Connections provides benefits to certain children with disabilities who would not ordinarily be eligible because their parents’ income exceeds the limit. Named after Katie Beckett, who inspired the 1981 federal waiver.
👶 BabyNet
South Carolina’s interagency early intervention system for infants and toddlers under three with developmental delays. Anyone can make a referral! Call: 866.512.8881
💵 SSI
Supplemental Security Income — a Federal income supplement program providing cash to meet basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter. Children with disabilities may be eligible for monthly SSI payments.
🏥 MCC Waiver
Medically Complex Children’s Waiver serves children who meet a hospital level of care with chronic physical/health conditions expected to last longer than 12 months. You can self-refer!
👨👩👧 Family Connection

🏢 DDSN
Department of Disabilities and Special Needs serves South Carolinians with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Traumatic Brain/Spinal Cord Injury, and Similar Disabilities.

A special place where families can find multiple community services in one location for children with delays and disabilities.

A medical day treatment program providing compassionate care and a stimulating environment for medically fragile children.
The Meyer Center
A nonprofit specializing in early education and intensive therapy services to empower children with disabilities to reach their potential.
The Ferlauto Center
The only facility of its kind in the Upstate — a “medical home” for medically complex children at Prisma Health.
